Heritage Tour Plaques Unveiled in Dec. 11 Ceremony

On December 11, 2021, WJHCS’ multi-year effort to design, fabricate, and install 29 historical metal plaques around the Witherspoon Jackson neighborhood came to fruition! During this special walking tour of Princeton’s Twentieth Historic District, Shirley Satterfield led a group of around 40 people to unveil and view the plaques for the first time. The plaque tour will be available for anyone living in or visiting Princeton to take a self-guided walking tour of the Witherspoon-Jackson neighborhood. In addition, an audio tour led by Shirley Satterfield will be available in 2022.

Although the majority of the plaques have been installed on location, several of the plaques cannot be installed until construction finishes/takes place on the various sites. We apologize for any inconvenience.
